You’ve likely seen it mentioned in previous articles while using the PlayAUDIO1U, mioXL, and mioXM, but today we’re diving deeper into this software. We’ll explore some incredible features and show you how to use it to tackle powerful tasks effortlessly!

Getting Started with Auracle X

To begin, download Auracle X from the iConnectivity website. It is available for both Windows and macOS.

Firmware Updates and Device Maintenance

Keeping your devices updated is essential for optimal performance. If you've had this program on your computer for a while and you want to check for an update, you can just go up to the top left menu bar and click where it says “Auracle X”. Then click “Check For Updates” and it's going to ping the iConnectivity website to see if there's an update available.

If there is an update available, it’ll download and install them directly!

Pro Tip 1: Renaming Devices

Renaming your devices can greatly reduce confusion especially when you have multiple devices connected to the same computer. To rename a device in Auracle X, simply select the device title, click on the current name, enter a new one, and press Save.

This feature is especially useful for differentiating devices in complex setups!

Pro Tip 2: Advanced Reset Functions

Most people don’t know that Auracle X provides powerful reset options that are particularly helpful. The “Factory Reset” feature erases all configurations, giving you a clean slate for setting up new configurations. For troubleshooting or simplifying complex MIDI routings, the “Clear MIDI Settings” option allows you to remove all existing MIDI configurations immediately.

Remote Management Features

Typically the gear is not sitting on the desk in front of you, it's racked up. Or maybe it's a couple hundred feet away from you or stage left while you’re stage right. The “Reboot Devices” function lets you to restart your devices without having to be physically present or near it. This feature is perfect for setups in hard-to-reach locations.

Auracle X allows you to view detailed device information, including serial numbers, firmware versions, and connection types (USB or RTP Ethernet), all from within the interface! These features can also be very helpful if you’re talking with support and want to let them know which software version you are currently using.

Help Section and Online Resources

Auracle X includes a built-in help section accessible via a question mark icon in the upper-right corner.

This will redirect you to the iConnectivity website, where you can access support for troubleshooting common issues and explore iConnectivity’s Knowledge Base library.
